Thai Mama to Open Soon in Maryland Heights, MO
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (STL.Directory) Thai Mama has been striving to open its doors since September 2024 but has been blocked by a cluttered and corrupt system. Multiple contacts have been made with the county, and everybody has a different recommendation. Nobody knows their job! Everybody will tell you their correct answer, which illustrates a severe lack of knowledge and training.
All contractors share the same experience. Some older contractors are seriously considering retiring to avoid dealing with the county. It is a dysfunctional mess.
Nonetheless, the G.C. for the project thinks they are on track to get things accomplished now, and the plumbing process is on target.
The owner of Thai Mama is Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul, who owns the popular Thai Kitchen chain with locations in the following communities:

- O’Fallon, MO
- St. Charles, MO
- St. Louis, MO
- Wentzville, MO
Ongartsutthikul also owns Sasi Wholesale and Sasi Thai Market in Maryland Heights, MO.
Thai Mama will provide the same award-winning service and menu as the Thai Kitchen chain. The reason for a different name is that she started the Thai Kitchen in Maryland Heights but sold it. It remains in business today, but she wanted to return to the community because she lives there, so she created a new name to avoid confusing the consumers. She has publicly denounced any affiliation with Thai Kitchen in Maryland Heights.
We hope we see the opening of Thai Mama in February 2024. We wish Ongartsutthikul good lunch as we look forward to its opening.
