Thai Mama opened in Maryland Heights on March 16, 2024, offering authentic Thai cuisine.
Thai Mama is owned and created by Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul, who started the original Thai Kitchen in Maryland Heights, MO, in 1999. Several years ago, she sold it to an unrelated party, which remains in business. However, living in the Maryland Heights community and loving the neighborhood, she has decided to return to the community with the same great menu and service but changing the name to avoid further confusion.
Additionally, within the same shopping plaza, at 1924 McKelvey Rd, Ongartsutthikul will open Sasi Wholesale and Sasi Thai Market, which offers Thai and other Asian food to restaurants and markets. Sasi Thai Market offers retail pricing, while Sasi Wholesale provides wholesale pricing for restaurants and food markets.
All Thai Kitchen locations receive high Google Ratings based on online customer reviews, and we don’t expect anything less from this location. However, on Friday, March 15, 2024, a soft opening event was held, and the attendees left 34 Google Reviews, all of which were five stars. Therefore, as of today, it appears that Thai Mama is the highest-rated Thai restaurant in the St. Louis Metropolitan region.
Since opening on March 16, 2025, we have accumulated 65 reviews on Google, all of which are 5 stars, and Yelp has also given us 5 stars.
