NEW YORK, NY – October 10, 2026 (STL.News) NYC – Protests – Protests erupted in New York City after a federal immigration officer shot and wounded a 28-year-old Dominican man during an attempted arrest in Manhattan’s Marble Hill neighborhood Thursday, October 8, setting off demonstrations, an investigation and a federal court dispute over the man’s detention. The shooting occurred shortly after 4 p.m. while a 5-year-old boy, believed to be the man’s son, was sitting in the back seat of his vehicle. The child was not physically injured.
