CloudKitchens is a ghost kitchen concept with one facility housing multiple commercial kitchens and restaurants.
A new business concept that became popular during the COVID pandemic lockdown was a way for restaurants to focus on online ordering and delivery or pickup since dining was shut down in some places for months.
The concept continues to be revisioned as investors rush to discover avenues to profit from this concept. There have been some failures because some target startup restaurants, which historically failed due to being under-capitalized and lack experience. However, smart management companies are now targeting existing brick-and-mortar restaurants and promoting it as an easy and affordable expansion strategy.
We are familiar with this company and location and feel they have one of the best concepts, but time will tell.
They are located approximately 1/2 mile south of I-44 on Hampton Avenue.
The known restaurants at this facility are as follows:
- STL Indian Kitchen
- Thai Kitchen – they have four brick-and-mortar locations, including O’Fallon, Florissant, St. Charles, and Wentzville
