Thai Mama to Open Saturday, March 16, 2024
Thai Mama will open at noon on Saturday, March 16, 2024. MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (STL.Directory) Thai Mama will finally open at noon this coming Saturday, March 16, 2024, serving their authentic Thai cuisine. It is a new name and a new restaurant, but don’t be fooled. It is owned by Sasimonthon Ongartsutthikul, who owns Thai Kitchen, a family-owned chain with locations across the St. Louis Metropolitan region. People have often asked why the name should be changed to a successful restaurant. The owner, Ongartsutthikul, started her first restaurant in 1999 but sold it to her sister years later, who has since sold it to an unrelated party. It remains in business today. Therefore, to avoid confusion between the two restaurants using the same name, a new name was chosen to prevent confusion among the community. More Thai Kitchen restaurants will open, but there will likely not be any new Thai Mamas. So, Thai Kitchen fans, don’t worry. They will use the same menu items and recipes and train staff to provide the same great award-winning service that customers love at Thai Kitchen.
